Victim of Forced Abortion Says Practitioner Hodari "Ripped the Life" Out of Her

Flint, MI (LifeNews.com) -- Caitlin Bruce is the victim of a forced abortion that saw abortion practitioner Alberto Hodari and a staffer forcibly restrain her as she screamed no. Now, Bruce has given an interview to a local television station where she describes how Hodari and his associate "ripped the life" out of her.

Bruce told WJRT-TV about her lawsuit she has filed against Hodari and said that she changed her mind and withdrew her consent for the abortion after seeing an ultrasound of the unborn baby.

Despite her subsequent decision, Hodari held her to her original one.

"He told his assistant, you know, 'Hold her down.' You know? They had my arm pinned, his weight was all on my chest, and then he took his hand and he had it so tight on my mouth that it was muffled," she told WJRT. "I was screaming and crying."

"It felt like they were ripping a life out of me," she said.

Bruce described how she was just 18-years-old at the time of the abortion and six months pregnant when she went to Hodari's Feminine Health Care Clinic abortion center in Flint last year.

"I was nervous and I really didn't have the moral support I needed. And I just didn't know what to do," Bruce told the ABC television station.

She questioned herself in the waiting room about whether having an abortion was the right decision.

"They started the ultrasound. The lady turned the ultrasound toward me and said, 'This is your baby. This is the heart flicker,'" Bruce said.

She changed her mind, but that is when Hodari did the abortion anyway.

"When he was done, he looked at me. He gave me a smirk and he left the room," Caitlin said.

Steve Weiss, Hodari's attorney, talked with the television station about the lawsuit, which denies the forced abortion claiming "the surgical instrument was inside her uterus and she was already bleeding when she verbalized any misgivings."

"My client acted properly under the circumstance. This was an abortion that was consented to," he claimed. "When the patient first expressed misgivings about it, it was too far along for Dr. Hodari to stop."

Tom Pabst, the attorney for Bruce, who allowed her to give the interview, says a forced abortion is always wrong no matter which side of the abortion debate one supports.

"This is shockingly wrong no matter what camp you're in," he told the station. "This shouldn't have happened. If a woman says stop, it should've stopped."

The lawsuit was filed because county prosecutors are not looking into the incident for possible criminal charges.

Operation Rescue president Troy Newman has been following Bruce's case and has exposed Hodari's shoddy practices over the years.

"Hodari is a menace to the public and the sooner he is held accountable for his atrocities in a court of law, the better," he told LifeNews.com today.

"It is shocking and wrong that this quack is still in business. We ask that the Michigan Attorney General's office launch a criminal investigation into Hodari's shop of horrors, and will be filing a formal request to that effect this week,"he added.

WASHINGTON – "22 Weeks" has the images and sound effects of a horror flick, but it isn't one. Instead, it's based on a true account of a woman who sought a late-term abortion but found herself living a nightmare.

In the 25-minute featurette, Angela, played by Natalie Wenninger, wakes up in her motel room covered in blood. She rushes to the clinic where she had been injected with a needle the day before to abort her baby 22 weeks into her pregnancy. She’s bleeding profusely and is having contractions but is left alone in a dirty room at the clinic. Something is wrong.

Earlier in the film, we find a much different Angela at the EPOC Clinic in Orlando, Fla., as she is midway through the second trimester of her pregnancy. There, Angela is presented with two options: the suction method or an injection to the baby's heart.

She chooses the latter, convinced by employees that the procedure will not cause the baby any pain. She would simply have a stillborn birth the following day. To her, the suction method is a monstrous act.

After the procedure, she is met by a group of pro-life advocates outside the clinic. When one Christian tries to convince her to save the baby, Angela replies, "God was never raped."

While there a several uncomfortable moments when Angela experiences some complications, the shocking scene near the end comes as she has given birth to her baby on a toilet.

"He's alive!" Angela screams, shocked that the baby was not dead like the employees had assured he would be when born.

But the mother is even more horrified when the employees, who respond slowly to her cries, deny the baby is living, do not help her and lock her in the bathroom.

The Hidden Truth

Former Abortionists Speak Out

Below are revealing statements made by former abortion industry personnel. These are direct quotes from men and women who worked in abortion facilities. These former abortion providers are now pro-life. They regret their involvement with abortion so much that now they are speaking publicly to warn people about what goes on before, during and after abortions. Their statements were made at a videotaped conference called, "Meet the Abortion Providers."

1) Former abortionist, Anthony Levatino, M.D., says, "I want the general public to know that the doctors know that this is a person, this is a baby. That this is not some kind of blob of tissue . . ."

2) Former abortion counselor, Nita Whitten, says, "It's a lie when they tell you they're doing it to help women, because they're not. They're doing it for the money."

3) Former abortion counselor, Debra Henry, says, "We were told to find the woman's weakness and work on it. The women were never given any alternatives. They were told how much trouble it was to have a baby."

4) Former abortionist, Joseph Randall, M.D., says, "The picture of the baby on the ultrasound bothered me more than anything else. The staff couldn't take it. Women who were having abortions were never allowed to see the ultrasound."

5) Former abortionist, David Brewer, M.D., says, "My heart got callous against the fact that I was a murderer, but that baby lying in a cold bowl educated me to what abortion really was."

6) Former abortion counselor,Kathy Sparks, says, "The counselor at our clinic could cry with the girls at the drop of a pin. She would find out what was driving them to want to abort that child and she would magnify it."

7) Former abortionist, McArthur Hill, M.D., says, "I am a murderer. I have taken the lives of innocent babies and I have ripped them from their mother's wombs with a powerful vacuum machine."

Pictured above is Carol Everett who was involved in the abortion industry in the Dallas, Texas, area from 1977 to 1983. As director of four clinics, and owner of two, Everett was responsible for the clinics' daily operation. Everett, who had an abortion soon after it became legal in 1973, now speaks out on what she saw in the abortion industry.

Here's how Carol Everett answered questions about the abortion industry:

Q. What is the governing force behind the abortion industry?

A. Money. It is a very lucrative business. It is the largest unregulated industry in our nation. Most of the clinics are run in chains because it is so profitable.

Q. In what way is the woman deceived?

A. Every woman has two questions, "Is it a baby?" and Does it hurt?" The abortionist must answer "NO." He/she must lie to secure the consent of the woman and the collection of the clinic's fee. The women were told that we were dealing with a "product of conception" or a "glob of tissue." They were told that there would be only slight cramping, whereas, in reality, an abortion is excruciatingly painful.

Q. What type of counseling was offered at the clinics?

A. We didn't do any real counseling. We sold abortion.

Q. How did you dispose of an aborted baby?

A. We put them down the garbage disposal. Some second and third trimester babies' muscle structure is so strong that the baby will not come apart, so they must be disposed of through trash receptacles.

Q. Abortion is supposed to be a "safe" experience. What complications did you witness?

A. In the last 18 months I was in the business, we were completing over 500 abortions monthly and killing or maiming one woman out of 500. Common complications that take place are perforations or tears in the uterus. Many of those result in hysterectomies. The doctor might cut or harm the urinary tract, which then requires surgical repair. A complication that is rarely publicized is the one in which the doctor perforates the uterus and pulls the bowels through the vagina, resulting in colostomy. Some of those can be reversed, some must live with the colostomy for the remainder of their lives.

Q. Why did you get out of the abortion business?

A. Two things came into play at the same time. I experienced a profoundly religious transformation -- a conversion. At about the time I was having second thoughts, a Dallas television station did an expose disclosing the abortions performed at my clinic on non-pregnant women -- all for money! I finally realized, "We weren't helping women -- we were destroying them -- and their children." By then my transformation was complete and I knew that I not only had to stop being involved with abortions, but I had to help promote the truth.

School Bans a Student from wearing a Pro-Life t-shirt

California mom says her public school administrators violated her daughter’s First Amendment rights when they ordered the seventh-grader to take off her pro-life T-shirt.

Anna Amador has gone to court on behalf of her daughter, who she says was ordered by her principal to change her shirt on “National Pro-Life T-Shirt Day.” The shirt the girl was wearing displays two graphic pictures of a fetus growing in the womb.

The incident occurred in April 2008 at McSwain Elementary School, a K-8 school in Merced, Calif. Amador alleges in her legal complaint that school Principal Terrie Rohrer, Assistant Principal C.W. Smith and office clerk Martha Hernandez mistreated her daughter and denied the girl her First Amendment rights when they ordered her to leave the cafeteria and change her shirt.

The complaint quotes school district officials saying that they ordered Amador’s daughter to remove the shirt because it constituted “inappropriate subject matter” in violation of the school’s dress code, which bans clothing with “suggestion of tobacco, drug or alcohol use, sexual promiscuity, profanity, vulgarity, or other inappropriate subject matter.”

Amador claims in the legal complaint that other students at the school have been allowed to wear expressive shirts, and she blames the school for “inconsistently applying their Dress Code based upon subjective determinations as to which messages are acceptable and which messages are not.”  source: www.aconservativeedge.com
